Mrs. Claire Barrus, BSCE, SERVE Prayer Fellowship Coodinator

Claire Barrus resides in Cary, North Carolina with her husband and three children. She is heavily involved in the prayer and worship ministry of a vibrant local church where she directs and provides the visionary, administrative and creative leadership for Wings of Praise, a ministry utilizing dance, drama and flags in worship, celebration, intercession and evangelism.

The Wings of Praise ministry involves people from grade school to senior citizens and serves not only the local congregation, but also retirement centers, rescue missions, detention centers, Hispanic communities, and missions nationally and overseas. With her church, Claire has participated in five mission trips to Ecuador, with outreaches to public and private schools and universities, detention centers and prisons. Claire also tutors students preparing for college and military entrance exams.

Prior to moving to North Carolina in 1997, Claire was a campus associate with Inter-varsity Christian Fellowship at Vassar College for twelve years and also worked professionally on civil engineering projects in New York and Virginia. Claire holds a civil engineering degree from Lafayette College, where she was inducted into the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society.
