Project Updates
Objective of this Project: Support Evangelical Work Being Done In Peru
SERVE has supported activities led by Al Shannon, a Wycliffe missionary in Peru, for a number of years. Al has been very involved bringing the gospel to the millions of Quechua Indians in the high Andes mountains where the majority of them are illiterate. With Al’s leadership, videos of the Gospel of Luke and the book of Genesis were developed for the Peruvian Quechua’s.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ORPHANAGE BUILDING PROJECT IN KENYA
Written by Carolyn PollockAttached is a brief report on the large orphanage building project called Johabeto-Kids of the Kingdom, led by the Pollock family that was started June 28, 2010 in Kitale, Kenya.
Three buildings were constructed, two dormitories and one kitchen/dining room. The work was started in late June and basically completed in August. They did a fantastic job in such a short time working with lots of volunteers from the US and many, many local helpers from the local people as can be seen in the pictures. This report was put together by Carolyn Pollock and has been seen by the various team members involved with the project.
